Richardson Update

Richardson Update 2/09/2020 I'm not sure how the year got away from me but 2019 went so fast and here we are already in February 2020🤦‍♀️. If you ever doubted that your entire life can change in the span of five months. Buckle your seatbelts because I'm going to show you exactly how much life can change in five short months… First, we're living in a completely trauma free home *does happy dance*. Carving out my own space in this new community is helping me grow further. Although the comfort zone is nice, it's not where we grow and this family is all about growing into our best selves. Seraphim is doing amazing, mastering sounds left and right. So they are moving her up and she will be getting ready to start school soon. Josh is the one that has the most amazing news of these past five months. I've gotten into our story in pieces along the way, but for this to have the most impact on you guys, i have to give you a little backstory. After our trauma with Josh's b...

Complex-PTSD, Narcissistic Abuse & Recovery

Complex-PTSD, Narcissistic Abuse & Recovery 6/27/2019 As I watch Josh really start the journey I started last summer, I get anxious for him.  Cutting through years of junk is hard work, it's painful and sometimes feels hopeless. We got a huge note of validation today though! We got his records from a neurologist he was seeing back in 2008/2009. We Both got to see what he's been fighting on paper. We got to see that the in-laws had a visit with his doc without him present (he was not a minor) and got to see the docs remarks and opinions of that visit. Doctors/professionals that are aware and document clear signs of abuse are the hidden heroes that nobody knows about. Narcissistic abuse is hard to recover from because it fractures who you are. You don't see the world the same so to hold not only court records but doctors records documenting the clear abuse of parental power gives the survivor a piece of their voice back. It's unimaginable that a person would be so mal...

Andersen Update

Andersen Update 6/25/2019 Five months have passed and so much has happened. I'm in a completely different headspace as well as a completely different relationship space. These days are the days I prayed for during the entirety of my 20's.  The hostility that used to linger around us is gone! We talk and enjoy each others company, we work as a team under all fronts, we don't blindly agree with each other but we discuss differences respectfully and we focus on only showing love to each other! We have so much fun raising Seraphim, watching her grow. She's fully caught up to her age and thriving, I say my little genius but I could be biased! 😆 She's got such a full personality and stands up for what she wants and cares about. Right now she says she wants to be a doctor so we've started to nurture those interests.😍 The hubs is doing a lot of work to stay on track, we both finally got into trauma therapy! An accident derailed a few things for him, lots of trigg...

Imposter Syndrome and Eviction Time

Impostor Syndrome and Eviction Time! 2/10/2019 Hey guys, I know it's been a while but this journey doesn't follow a timeline. Well, this journey coupled with mental illness doesn't follow a timeline for Me. Let's talk about impostor syndrome because there have been times during this journey that I felt like a fake. I felt like eventually, it all would come Crashing Down. Bipolar has me in a bit of a different position though I was waiting for the negative parts of mania. I was waiting to swing out of this peace. With each day I grow a little more cautious because Mania is nothing to mess with. It has now been eight months since an episode. I remind myself that my sleep is nowhere near Mania because when I'm shifting I stop sleeping. I'd be lucky if I got 2 hours of sleep once transitioning into media started. I remind myself that I sleep 5 to 6 hours during the week and 8 sometimes 10 on the weekends. I remind myself that if I was faking I wouldn't wake up f...

Why I'm Ditching the New Year's Resolutions

Why I'm ditching the New Years Resolutions! 1/04/2019 Hey Warriors, As I'm sitting here reflecting on what I've shared with you so far and just my life in general, it reminds me of one of my absolute favorite movies Alice in Wonderland. Now, most people have seen the movie but if you haven't it's basically about a girl that is dropped into a different world. Everything about it is just wrong for her; it's nothing of how it should be. Nothing makes sense, and she can't find her way no matter which way she goes. No matter who she asks for help she just runs in circles basically. Not to mention being tortured by a disappearing cat with riddles. I always loved that movie and I wasn't really sure why other than you know all the singing colorfulness and the cat of course. But as I'm looking back on my life and looking back on what I've shared with you guys so far, I've lived a pretty 'otherworld' life. It didn't matter who I asked for h...

Holiday Hangover

Image
1/03/2019 Hey Warriors, I feel like I've been gone for a really long time. The holidays had me a bit scatterbrained and took a bunch of energy to stay on the off-schedule that I was on. I want to touch on a few things I did during the holiday season, both good and bad since I'm all about transparency! I started off December at a good speed; we had only been on a night schedule for a couple of weeks. With the excitement of baby girl's birthday and introducing her to Elf on the Shelf, I was truly running on pure excitement.  As the days passed, I started sacrificing myself for the family. That meant I was not prioritizing 'me' time because I knew the family as a whole was already stressed not to mention each person individually.  Everyone's sleep was off which also meant our eating was off but I rationalized giving up healthy eating because I was still being aware of everything; as in my food intake and mindset. Now we are not a clean eating family, but I try to ...
